The Preservation Society of Marion County is dedicated to cultivating appreciation for, and safeguarding the rich heritage of, our community. Our mission focuses on promoting the preservation of historical buildings and landmarks that tell the unique story of Marion County. Through advocacy, education, and community engagement, we work to foster a deeper understanding of our local history.

We are excited to create an endangered properties list on our website to raise awareness of at-risk historic buildings and sites. Each year, we will also honor individuals and organizations with annual awards for preservation, recognizing both the preservation of historic buildings and the ongoing maintenance efforts that keep our heritage alive. Together, we strive to ensure that the legacy of Marion County is honored and preserved for future generations.
